Music/Audio Services
Composition to Cue
The meat of media composition – this covers any work which requires composition of music to an audio-visual cue for film/television/video games.
Composition to Specification
Advertising jingles, theme tunes, environmental music for commercial spaces – all covered by this service. Jemma has some experience in this space already.
Collaborative Composition/Music Production
Jemma is always on the look-out for potential collaborators, whether her role would be as a songwriter, arranger/producer, or mix/mastering engineer.
Junior Composing Roles
While still studying, Jemma would gladly take on any role that gives her exposure to the world of professional media composition, whether that be as a composer’s assistant, orchestrator, arranger or copyist. Jemma is already quite proficient in Sibelius and has experience with Cubase, Cakewalk, Ableton Live, Adobe Audition and Reaper.
Audio Editing/Sound Design
If any assistance is required in audio processing, editing audio to video or creating foley effects and audio SFX, Jemma has experience in these fields and is willing and ready to work.
Head of Sound/Music Department
Jemma’s IT career has involved a great deal of process and project management. With the additional rounding out of Jemma’s skills as a composer coming from her university studies, this places her well to function in a head of department role.
Jemma’s IT industry experience and several iterations of home studio equipment have also prepared her for the processes and challenges of technology management for major productions.

Writing Commissions
Jemma has been writing fiction in long, short and poetic forms since primary school. She has a 55,000 word anthology of short stories and novellas ready for publication and no shortage of experience writing to spec.
Story Consulting
Jemma has made a concerted effort to master the craft of story construction – particularly based on the way that well-rounded characters respond to external and internal drives and stimuli. She has helped several novelists and short story writers get unstuck by isolating the elements of their plots that don’t ring true for the characters concerned.
Dialogue Consulting
Jemma has over 25 years of experience working in highly collaborative environments. During that time she has heard a lot of accents, grown to understand a lot of people and finds writing dialogue to be a process in which she has a significant degree of mastery.
Copy Editing
Spelling? Grammar? Tense and sense? Jemma has done plenty of copy editing and can both punch up the impact of other writers’ work, while also smoothing out the bumps in those pesky late night first drafts.
Story Editing
Jemma has a lot of experience with story troubleshooting, both for her own and other people’s written work. Her story editing expertise spans long-form fiction, short stories and screen-writing.
Five C’s Presentations
Jemma has created a story analysis framework called the “Five C’s” and can deliver public presentations on how to use this methodology to drive greater audience engagement and to bring additional meaning and impact to character-based works.
